Hope Baptist Church was started by Pastor Peter Nugent and a small group of believers in 2021. Pastor Nugent had been in the ministry since 1996, having pastored Grace Baptist Church of Lees Summit, Missouri for nearly 25 years.
There are many choices for churches in Overland Park, Kansas, but very few churches that preach and teach out of the King James Version of the bible.
We decided to start a church that balances two things; the grace of God and the truth of the bible. (John 1:16–17 And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace. For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.)
We began meeting in a hotel conference room at the Hilton Garden Inn of Overland Park, and will continue to meet there until the LORD provides another location that is both convenient and affordable. Keep reading...
